WILLIE WILSON’S THEATRE ARTS GROUP T.A.G.
Willie Wilson teaches the next generation of young actors and singers the important skills needed for theater, not just for a continuing career in show business but for life's upcoming challenges.
Mr. Wilson was a member of the Bergen County Players for many years before joining the Board of Directors with the Apple Cider Players, where he was in charge of youth development. He directed and produced plays for the Apple Cider Players Summer Camp.
After five successful years as Director of Youth Development with The Apple Cider Players in Woodcliff Lake, Willie Wilson has embarked on a solo venture to further enhance his children’s theatre program. Willie Wilson Theatre Arts Group (T.A.G.) has been created to continue providing children with the opportunity to explore the creative world of theatre arts.
His love for theater and working with children inspired him to develop a Theatre Arts Group (T.A.G.) program, which he initiated at the Westwood school district in 2003 for the elementary and middle schools. The success of the program brought him recognition and support from the faculty, Board of Ed. and P.S.O., which led to an expansion of his T.A.G. program to numerous Northern New Jersey districts such as Brookside, Ho-Ho-Kus, and Washington Township.
Shows he has written, produced and/or directed for the T.A.G. program include:
“You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown”
“High School Musical”
"A Comical Tribute to the 50's"
"The Wizard of Oz"
"The Wonderful Imagination"
"The New Principal"
"Give My Regards to Berkeley"
