ABOUT WILLIE WILSON
Musician/Composer/Actor/Director/Writer

Willie Wilson, owner of Willie Wilson Entertainment, has been active in the entertainment field for much of his life. As a composer and actor, his credits include appearances on Broadway, television, commercials and film.(click Theatre Arts for more).

On the musical front, he is the lead singer and founder of the band The Willies (Click Live Band for more). Trained under Vocal Coach Bob Marks in New York City, Mr. Wilson also provides private voice lessons. Willie Wilson Entertainment provides full-service deejay and karaoke entertainment as well (Click DJ and Karaoke for more).

Locally, Mr. Wilson was a member of the Bergen County Players for many years before accepting a position on the Board of Directors with the Apple Cider Players, where he was in charge of youth development, directing and producing the Apple Cider Players Summer Camp.

In 2009, he embarked on a solo venture and created Willie Wilson’s Theatre Arts Group (T.A.G.). His love for theater and working with children inspired him to develop a T.A.G. program at the Westwood school district in 2003 for the elementary and middle schools. The success of this program brought him recognition and support from the faculty, Board of Ed. and P.S.O., which led to an expansion of his T.A.G. program to neighboring districts.

His mission of giving back to the community earned him a "Citizen of the Year" award in 1998 for spearheading benefits that raised over $600,000 for families with sick children. He continues to devote his time and energy to the community and annually directs such benefits for a cause to which he is truly dedicated.

Mr. Wilson was also employed with Viacom, MTV, VH1 and Nickelodeon in New York City.
